I have known Peter for three years now, he was originally my teacher and he always used to direct me and keep me on the correct path. Peter always told me that I was not allowed to leave college till I had completed a degree in music, I also told him the same that he was not allowed to leave until I had completed my degree in Music, as things change both myself and Pete have both left and I don't have a degree, but thanks to Peter I could not be more happier than I am with my current status in my musical career, the people I have met the chances I have been given has mostly been down to this man. Pete gave me a experience of getting to perform at Her Majesty's Theatre in his Crossover Project. Since leaving College Peter has given me the experience of performing in Joseph Staring Chesney Hawkes in Brentwood as well as other shows around Havering. Peter has also helped me further my musical career with promoting my own music and helping me getting into the Music Industry
I first met Peter Dayson at the age of 16 at Havering College of further and Higher Education where he became one of my Music Lecturers. I have worked with Peter on several of his musicals that he has directed whether it is performing in the Orchestra, arranging the musical score or helping to direct and manage his musicals. Peter and I have both left havering college, but we still remain in contact regularly and he keeps me updated on any of his upcoming shows that he could use my help for. Since knowing Peter I have been able to build up my confidence which when I first met Peter was next to nothing, I have been able to discover myself as a person and a musician. He continues to give not only me but other people so many opportunities that you could only dream of. Through working with Peter I have made memories and friends that will last me a life time and I will be forever grateful to him for that and for inspiring me to become a teacher.
I first met Peter when I started at Havering College of Higher and Further Education, he was one of my lecturers on my first year. Even then he always used to show me the best ways to go and he also used to help me in any way he could. Peter was also my vocal coach for a while and he would help me better my voice and train me to get full use and really improve my performance. Peter has given me many opportunities over the past few years which has made me become a much more confident singer. Because of Peter I've been able to perform up in the west end in his own musical Class, and sung in his first ever showcase 'Sing', which was put on by Synergy Street Productions.
Working with Peter over the last 7 years has shown me how to get the community involved in a project and pull people together to create an amazing performance. His way of working is very helpful towards the learners and artists with encouraging enthusiasm that pushes them safety towards their goals. Peter is an amazing mentor, lecturer and colleague that is highly valued by all who work with him. This year’s Synergy Street Production sold out the venue with two full nights of performances. This showed the need for these events in the local community which led to other side projects to keep the artists and musicians busy. Peter puts his artists first and does everything he can to keep them safe and at ease whilst performing to large audiences. As a musician who has worked with Peter, I can say he is a pleasure to work with and I am sure I have not met a nicer person.
